Day 3 after Linx. Lot of painful bloating and some acidic type throat pain. Anybody similar

Have read many posts. All seem different in terms of reaction. Pleased to hear that some say their surgeons think the throats in is unlikely to be reflux. Any thoughts on when bloating might recede?

Hi. Mark first of all where are you .  I had my linx in June last year it's normal to have your symptoms however everyone os different and some recoveries are worse than others.   There's a fantastic forum for hose that have had this procedure if your interested.  Your right in saying all seems different but none are unusual

Hi Mark, sounds like you're doing well so soon after your op. Out of interest why did you have a Linx as opposed to aNissen's Fundoplication? I know that very few hospitals perform the Linx and people quite often have to go privately.

Hello again. Yes I am interested in the forum. As I mentioned I had my operation in Kings College London. Feeling pretty rotten with the bloating and pains in upper abdomen and throat which are very similar to previous symptoms. Particularly difficult to sleep. Hadn't realised I would feel so rotten. Hope I'm not alone. Would love to hear from people who have had similar experiences and have come through

it's called LINX surgery for GERD/acid reflux/LPR.    You will have to introduce yourself and explain your experience and post op symptoms
