day 34

so day 34 much like yesterday, mediocre mellow spaced out feelings again, lethargic and sleepy. perhaps I need to force myself to bed at a reasonable hour instead of sitting up until 2am watching rubbish on u-tube! was an hour chopping wood so got some fresh air, blowing a gale. had to smile about America bracing itself for up to 3 foot of snow, whilst here in the good old UK 3 centimetres can paralyse the country, god help us smile

I'm exactly the same as you.  I love staying up, and even if I'm nodding in the chair I stay there.  I find mornings difficult and struggle to get up, and like you I keep meaning to be in bed by midnight.  I do know that if I'm tired it does affect my mood and I feel down.

Yes I always reckon the UK are wimps when it comes to snow :-)

I think there is something in what you are saying here.

Staying up late has always been something i enjoyed.

Recently i have been going to bed earlier and i have been feeling a little chirpier (only day 12 on 20mg for me).

My trigger is an external pressure and when this arrises, i go down and stay down for a while whether i am tired or not (anxiety kicks in and thats me done).

The only side effect for me so far is a slight spacey feeling - a white noise if you will - so i know im having it quite easy so far.

The problem with me is that i cannot remember what it was like to be normal, but rather a 6 year rollercoaster of highs and lows.

I do hope it is better - whatever normal is.

Good luck to you all... be optimistic - you all seem to be doing the best to balance the treatment with something like having a life too.

Yes you're right, I've always been a night person and am more alert then than in the mornings.  I really must train myself too to go to bed earlier as I know for certain it makes me feel better.

Right ..... starting tonight I'm going to bed before midnight with my book!

Yes, I am exactly the same! I can stay up until 2am easy, switch my light off between then & 4am, but like you I have to train myself to go to bed early so I can get moving in the morning!

    Hi david

Mellow and lethargic doesnt sound too bad at all (thinking about a couple of months ago its fabulous!). Not ideal buy ok.

Ive always been a nightbird too, im rubbish in the mornings! What you need is an 8 yr old who needs little sleep n wakes up bouncing like tigger - you soon get going through necessity! Haha :-)

They do say every hour you sleep before midnight is worth 2 of every hour after -something to do with out natural body clocks but im not convinced......

I agree - the whole world is better than us at snow :-)

Enjoy that real fire, nothing better on a cold windy night. Hope tomorrow is bright n beeezy for you!

Hi David well I'm up early with a barking dog not insomnia. My partner is religiously making me go to bed at 11pm as I don't think I can manage it on my own at the moment and after nearly 2 weeks it does help.  Noticed I am walking faster and more awake in the day although start of a bit sluggish.  Being around people at work puts a smile on my face after the first half an hour.  Looking at sleep hygene is a good idea maybe some aromatherapy to help you to relax. Surprising hoe effective it can be.
