May I ask what milligram you started on? And is it from a dosage increase or a beginning dose? With dosage increases, or especially first starting any SSRI/mental med😜 You will most likely have side effects in the beginning. If they are too terrible to withstand I would go see about getting on another med. etc. with my experience using Prozac, it wasn't enough (not saying it won't be for you as everyone is different) I had to augment with lamictal. However on Prozac alone, it took about a week or so before the side effects began to lessen. (Luckily I didn't experience anything too bad) celexia however was an entirely different story. 4 days and I couldn't stand it anymore. If you can handle the side effects, I would give it 5 weeks minimum before going off or increasing the dose. These meds take time to work unlike other medications! I hope you start feeling better soon!

Hello Charles. I was just wondering how you are doing now. I have just started. On day 6. The side effects are awful. Feeling sick all the time. Can't eat. Waking with knot in stomach at 4 most mornings and anxiety is 10 times worse. Panic attacks are worse to. X

hi debbie, it's good news I'm glad to report, it's day 15 and the side effects have subsided lots, and, I feel some benefits already, the doctor told me this should improve even more which although i'm excited about I dont want to get too over confident. So stick with it i know it's HELL but after a while ittle get better, go see your doc every week, make sure its the same doc, last week a different doc said i could change if i wanted because he expected the side effects to go after 4/5 days. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE it took nearly 14 days , for me anyway Hope this helps, i can empathise with you about how you are feeling just now but be patient is my advice .... let me know how you get on, I know it's HARD but stick with the programme its worth it, Charles
