Wow time does fly when having fun !!! One week down already on this rollercoaster ride -up n down in more ways than one . Dressimg was changed yesterday and the nurse said all healing well :-) and thankfully no staples or stitches to be removed . This afternoon I have ventured down to the front room -had urge to explore ;-)

    And did you find a bomb-site, or was it tidy? 

    Blimmin well done you. Now that you have the first week under your belt, I can tell you a sectrect *in hushed words* It was the hardest.

    You can look forward to an easier second week and then it is plain sailing wink That is fantastic news. Go team Khippie!!!

      Hehe . Oh I do hope so , I never want that week again . If you mean bomb site @ home I was only gone for two days so they never really got a chance to cause havoc , haha

    Good to hear things are going well : ) it certainly is a roller coaster ride . I am 8 weeks post op and for some reason decided to have a pity party at 3 am yesterday morning , no idea why , just felt like it lol ! Got it out of my system and feel soo much better now . Just remember , as quickly as the low points come they quickly get replaced by some highs . My favourite high was when I could put my own knickers on all by myself ! I was going to say that I am pleased by little things but my knickers are by no way little lol .

      You did make me laugh Hilary - thank you.

      My biggest goal is to be able to cut my toe nails. My long-suffering wife has offered, but I just can't.....even after nearly ten years... 

      3 AM is a great time for the gremlins to come out and play. And you don't have to be post op either!

      Hilary you made me chuckle I had a right old pity party yesterday morning. Oh that can catch me by surprise. I've just walked with my stick for 26 mins. I'm thrilled, I haven't been able to do that for months and I'm not yet 5 weeks post op. Have no idea if it's a good or bad but I'm chuffed as no pain. Yay. 😃

      That ll be great when I can put own knickers on :-) little steps the voice in my head keep s saying - we are ALL. Doing well x

      When can we reach our toes for cutting. Im 10 wks post op. No chance yet.

      Well, that is depressing :-( I had hoped it would be possible by then. At this rate, I may have to give in...and.....

      Twelve weeks plus I was told .... I'm at 9 weeks today.

      Anyone else see this 'hip surgery' cake made by a patient for her hospital team?

      I wrestled with a pair of tights yesterday and won. But my big toe had the last laugh when it put a whole in them! So out came the scissors and I cut them! Every last one. That will teach them for ruining my tights after the fight I had getting them on! 9 weeks today.
