The medication its self doesn’t help cure your depression but it does help uncover the underlying issues you have going on so that you can be able to fix them. Medication isn’t a quick fix. So you would need to do some work on your own as well. But speak with your doctor and see if they can up your dosage as traumatic events can cause chemical imbalances on top of your depression/anxiety. And sorry for your loss!!! Hope all is well and you have a blessed nice day. Loves alottttt.

It happened to me too years ago. Unfortunately I was already on the maximum dose, so decided to come off Paroxetine and try another anti depressant. That one didn’t suit me at all, so eventually changed back on to Paroxetine. Began to feel better very quickly after the other ones were such crap. This time I stopped at 50 mg, to give myself some leeway, should I ever go through a similar experience. Over the years I cut down to 40 mg, but sadly I had a major breakdown 4 years ago and have been on 60 mg ever since. When the time is right (is it ever?!), I will cut down again.

If you are not on maximum dose, then I would recommend increasing for the time being. They aren’t a cure ....... but they certainly help!

Wishing you luck. You WILL get through it in time.
