decision to do a circumcision.

i have been suffering from regular itching on the meatus while urination and also get a very sharp itch on the tip of foreskin and meatus every other day. NO MATTER how clean i keep the penis, I wash every day under the foreskin, pullback to urinate and wipe after peeing, I cant seem to keep the penis dry and void it of odor. I also feel sudden and frequent need to use the washroom but i dont think its a uti. but for some reason i also cant seem to empty my bladder completely. i am really looking forward to a circumcision and dont come at with it will desensitize the penis. I know that and want to make it numb. just list the potential benefits of circumcision and try to speak from experience

Hi aman656, can I just take you in a direction that does not seem to be something you are fully attending to, and may not be something you have medically checked out:  To highlight what I mean I will use your own words:-

" I cant seem to keep the penis dry and void it of odor. I also feel sudden and frequent need to use the washroom but i dont think its a uti. but for some reason i also cant seem to empty my bladder completely "

You may actually have several different things going on here?!  You may have a bladder infection for one thing, that needs to be sorted - this may link with the itching you have. In terms of frequent need to urinate, this could be another issue that needs medically checking out, too!

I have not seen whether you have mentioned your age?  If you are middle age the ability to fully control your bladder may not be what it used to be, anyway.  Irrespective, of your age, it would not do you any harm to learn how to gain control over the muscles that impact on your bladder control, so that you can gain more control, and have more of a sense of 'turning-off' the tap, and no leaks occur whatsoever.

Your ability to fully control urine leakage can be impacted by a whole host of things: like driving for long periods of time, not having regular empty-out times during the day, if your body is sensitive to cold temperature, and this is what you are regularly exposed to, this can also adversely affect your need to urgently urinate.  Sexual practices and frequency of such can also have a huge bearing on this.

*What I would suggest is that you find out about 'kegels for men'!  You may not even take this suggestion seriously, but as I can personally assure you - THIS WILL make a huge positive difference for you!  I got to the point, at around 30 - 35 years of age, when, after urinating - thinking I was fully emptied, that I would put my penis away, then after taking just a few steps, urine would flow down the inside of my trousers / jeans, etc.

ALL of this stopped, when I learnt how to fully excercise my pubococcygeal (PC) muscles - and the wonderful, additional impact of doing this, was to improve the quality of my sexual practices.  The difference was quite extraordinary!!!  You sound like you need to have the urine issues medically checked out, and, search online for kegels for men.
