Hello all, I need some advice and help. So about 3 months ago I had very bad pain in my ovaries and went to my doctor and found out that I have two ovarian cysts one one each side. Ever since that I've been getting pains in my stomach and in my ovaries. I don't believe I really stopped eating that much. I lost about 10/11 pounds without trying to. I do have a lot of anxiety and i've been on zoloft for a few months already. Is loosing 11 pounds over the course of 3/4 months a lot? I'm not sure what to do I go see my gyno next week. My primary doctor told me to go to the ER and not to wait. I just had multiple blood tests done and Nothing came back abnormal so i'm so confused on what to do! I have no appetite, I force myself to eat now. I barely get hungry. Can somebody help?

Hi to be honest I would follow your doctors advice as I'm sure it was given for good reason. Don't delay and go to ER now and tell them what your doctor said. You could be risking your life if you don't go. x

I am sure that the pain you are experiencing is enough to cause a loss of appetite and weight loss.
Don't hesitate to press your Doctor(s) for answers.
I do not think that is a lot of weight in that period of time, however any weight loss without effort to do so should be investigated.
On another note....when I initially went onto antidepressant medication I lost my appetite and proceeded to lose about a pound a day for over a month. My doctor did numerous other tests and found no cause for the weight loss. My pharmacist told me that some people will react to medications that way and not to worry that I would stabilize. I did eventually stop losing weight.
Worry can be our worst enemy at times.
I found protein shakes to be of help, maybe they would be of assistance for you.
Good Luck, try not to worry too much.
