Graves' Disease isn't the only cause of a fast heart rate, but it certainly could be. If you are found to have GD they may suggest Radio Active Iodine to kill the thyroid or surgery to remove it. Hopefully they will offer medications instead. Carbimazole is used in the UK, Methimazole in the US or PTU which is an older medicine which may be used in some cases.

I am interested in your outcomes. I went to Urgent Care last week after two weeks of racing heart (constant never went away 24 hrs a day) and elevated body temperature with temors. My heart rate was 128 as well when they admitted me, and after two hours of rest was still at 105. My blood tests indicated hyperactivethyroid, but I do not know my test results. I have been on beta blockers for 4.5 days now. My heart rate has lowered but not to normal, in the high 80's. My temperature is skyrocketing again and the tremors returning.
I am really scared. I don't see an endocronologist for 4 more days.
