I've been told taht if all is well i will be out the day after my TAH, i have noted that everyone seems to be in several days.  Has anyone else come out the next day?

Hi I had TAH on Wednesday and was discharged on the friday afternoon.  The consultant said I could go on the Thursday but I was too sore and the nurses said i should stay.  Hope all goes well for you.

    Hi Neverstaysstill

Me again, I was out the next day.  I would have been out at 11.30 a.m. the next morning but when they took out the vaginal pack, I did a bit of a dying duck on them (I'm a coward and my blood pressure drops like a stone when it is something I do not like!), so I got out at 5.45 p.m.  But it all depends on your recovery, they are basically looking for you not being in not  too much pain, that you are mobile and that you can wee properly after the catheter comes out.  Our bodies are all so indiividual they recover at their own pace.  But don't worry you will be out as soon as they think you are okay.

    Love

    Hi,

I had my op on March the 26th i was the first one down and at 4pm the surgeon told me i could go home but i didn't feel up to the journey so i stayed in over night. I left at 10.30 the following morning.

I did feel every bump in the taxi going home though.x
