I was diagnosed with ckd stage 3 a few months ago. I had an MRI which indicated I have one small kidney but since then I seem to have a lot of discomfort in the side of my small kidney. Has anyone has anything similar or does anyone experience aching in their kidney area ?

You can sometimes get discomfort. Do you have any other symptoms? E.g cystitis etc. You say the discomfort started after you were told you have a small kidney, do you think you are maybe more aware of how you feel since diagnosis. If you are concerned and recently diagnosed I would go and get it checked to make sure things are still the same. Are you on any new medications that might be causing it?
It might also be nothing to do with your kidney and something else so it's worth getting it checked.
