It's hard to cope with when it's so regular but I live around it. It doesn't define me. I had my gallbladder out 15 years ago, a very serious operation at the time. I've had this condition for over 20 years it just wasn't diagnosed correctly for the first 10+ years. Unfortunately by the time it was it had caused a lot of damage. In answer to your question about gas it's all part and parcel of it but a flare up to me is when I get an abscess and everything else that goes with it. Good luck with yours. I have no tips...Just try to stay strong and positive 🙂

No doc said its polyps not unless that's the same as stones. I don't have pain i just had gas and doc sent me for ultra sound and said i had polyps in gallbladder but they weren't serous, but doc wants me to see specialist anyway. Thanks for replying. Thats terrible what they done to you back then

Do you take antibiotics every time you have those weekly attacks? What symptoms do you have the 2 to 3 times a week?

I'm permanently on antibiotics. I get a whole range of symptoms but the main ones are diarrea, temperatures, crippling cramps, bleeding and a couple times a month an abscess. Life is very hard 😑

    Hi,

When you say 'attacks' do you mean you get pains?

Attacks....I wish it was just pain. Pain can be managed to a certain degree, we all find ways of getting through it (though it doesnt stop the pain).....I have full blown divaticulitus and I wouldnt wish this on anyone. Today is what I call the 'day after'....Im worn out, tender, still have a low level pain and Ill put my face on, smile through a 'good day' and look to the world like nothing is wrong....isnt that what we all try to do!!

We all run the risk of the 'why me' syndrome....I allow myself to indulge in the 'poor me' occasinately. The only way I get through it though is to stick 2 fingers up to it, as often as possible and look as gorgeous as I possibly can as often as I can!! When you live with something like this, that is so dilapidating and time consuming....any bit of normality is a triumph. Stay well and try to get off that bed more....... I sit in the sunshine (on a sunlounger) and drink tea as often as possible instead of laying on the bed - it helps me x

Long term antibiotic use causes your body to build a resistance to them, they are probably not doing any good at this point. Have your doctors not recommeded surgery for a condition so severe as yours? Might be time for new doctors. Feel better soon.

Is it regular normal tea or decaf? I make myself get up and go outside if sun is out!
