After 2.5 years I am reducing 6.75mg to 6.5 mg. i am now finding that I have dizziness to some degree every day. Does anyone else experience this. I have had 24 hour blood pressure done and it is ok, so not caused by high or low blood pressure. I am fine until about mid morning, then it starts. I know it is both a side effect of Pred and a symptom of withdrawal, but not sure what causes it. Does anyone else experience this or Has anyone any ideas how to deal with it ?

You are at the level where your own body has to start helping out by producing it's own cortisol, so I think your adrenal system could have got lazy. It's had a wonderful holiday while you were on Pred higher than your natural dose and it doesn't want to come home and begin working again.
I wouild guess that your optimal dose is now around 7mg and it will be difficult to keep on reducing from this level. Concentrate on stabilizing the dose and then begin reducing again when you are comfortable.

I agree with Nefret - I'd hang around at 7mg-ish for a couple of months before going further down and see if it improves. A few people have mentioned dizziness while reducing - even at higher doses where I wouldn't have expected it to make a difference. I had something similar, always a couple of hours after taking pred but only if I was out doing the shopping or something. I made sure I stayed at home until it was past the time window - problem solved. Some people take their pred very early and settle down for another couple of hours in bed - worked for me when I did have to go out.
One lady with that sort of problem tried taking her pred at night - the dizziness would have been during sleep and she was OK during the day afterwards. It didn't disturb her sleep - everyone is a bit different.

I hope they looked after you in Waitrose, ptolemy. I find it is a big saving as I don't want to spend any more than the minimum amount of time in any shop. PMR has some positive side effects after all.😀😀

What are you like!!!!!
That's interesting - can't remember really but it was always when I was out doing something. Just a brief wheeeeeee feeling and jelly legs and it was gone. I detest shopping anyway so like you Silver - decided benefit. However, didn't have an easily accessible Waitrose (you had to pay to park and spend £20 to be reimbursed - and they never had what I wanted! All aimed at posh students at Durham Uni but they didn't use it either!

I obviously did not work out my strategy very well! I am not so sure Lidl will offer strawberries and champagne. As most of them don't speak English I will need a dictionary or is champagne international?

I was in a shop in Perth on Monday looking for trousers. I quickly abandoned the idea. In fact all my purchases were contained in a small paper bag and it wasn't a bag of sweets. It was from a tiny shop with no horrible lighting. I hate shopping although I enjoy being in a bookshop.

I tend to do the same. I live in a small town so we still have local butchers etc. You could try all the supermarkets out and give them reviews according to how they treat you. My husband was in our local coop yesterday and he had to walk round someone who was on the floor and who had a number of staff round them. It wasn't you on your rounds? I'm not trying to minimise your faint but you did say.........

What about a badge specifying your needs in event of a faint.🍓🍓🍸🍸
