Do I have herpes?

Hellow everyone, hope everything is well am wondering if I have herpes or something else because my last time to have intimate was in feb and on sept I found some pimples on my inner lip of my virgina and went to a gyno at first have a look on it and say it just a normal infection the same day I went to another hospital and see MD who took a look of it and done blood test and urine and the blood test say hsv 2 igm with no index no or anything else also the urine come positive and he prescribe me with ampiclox, intraconazole and acyclovir cream without giving me the oral tablet for suppression and am wondering since sept I have been having the symptoms until now but sometime I feel normal and am looking very thin I don't know what cause my body to look this way I think it can be stress! 😰

 So may you help me can hsv 2 make you look thin?

And I was exposed with the virus since feb but how come it is positive igm?

Could it be a false positive?

    IgM is completely unreliable and should never be used for herpes. IgG is the test you need, at least 2-3 months after a potential infection. A swab test for herpes on new lesions up to two days old is best. And, no, herpes does not make you skinny.

      Thank you I have to do another test to confirm and why igm is not good and what make me thinyy😭 Am confused and dreppress never have enough sleep since I found out I have herpes would anyone recommend me anything to reduce the stress level

      IgM is just an inaccurate and unreliable test for herpes, so much so that the CDC and HSV experts do not recommend it, but many doctors are not up to date and don't know this. You can Google the problems with IgM for herpes online.

      I just noticed that you said your urine tested positive. For HSV2 DNA? If so, that is not such a common test, but should be more accurate by its very nature. Even so, HSV2 does not cause weight loss (but stress and anxiety might), but should symptoms persist for months, unless you just mean you occasionally get symptoms still.

      The urine test positive for Fungus I gec because I was given intraconazole and ampiclox but the blood was used for hsv which come out positive (igm) the thing is I have some sores at the back of my tongue since sept till today my tongue is not normal I feel the burning sensation but down there is normal coz i did examination by gyno last week and nothing was detected

      Oh, okay, so if the only thing positive for herpes was the IgM test, then you can definitely ignore it. Do the IgG test instead at 3 months. Does not really sound like herpes, however.

      Ohoo hope so the result come back negative because am dying of stress and my body become weak am confused actually
