Do I have HIV? Please help

i am a 22 year old male. Somewhat healthy and i think i have hiv. i had sex about two weeks ago now and about a week and a half later it started to burn when i peed and i had clear discharge. then the night before i went to the doctor i had yellowish discharge from my penis. so i went to the doctor and he said he thought i had gonorrhea. so he sends me to go take a test first and prescribes me the antibiotics aswell. He says to take the test and go get the medication afterwards and take it because he was sure it was gonorrhea. So i do what he says and take the medication. and the infection started to clear up and no more discharge. But the test results for gonorrhea came back negative. So a little bit after taking the antibiotics (maybe 1-2 days) i start to get a white dry tongue and start to get itchy almost all over my body. And now it feels like i have mucus build up in the back of my throat. i checked my temperature and it seems to be normal as in no fever. i went back to the doctor and am waiting for my hiv test results to come in but the stress is killing me. im thinking the infection was a uti which is common with hiv. Can all this stuff be caused from me taking the gonorrhea antibiotics or is it hiv. we used a condom but did not use one for oral sex and i do not know if she had hiv. Any input helps im really stressed out.

Don't panic. Did you read the side effects of these antibiotics? The antibiotics for gonorrhea treatment are quite strong and white dry tongue is one of the most common side effects. Prebiotics and probiotics could help you to get rid of these side effects.

your antibiotics could have given your oral thrush which is very common

did your doctor take a throat culture to make sure you dont have ghonorrrea in your mouth / throat ?

HIV has some very specific symptoms - if you dont have more than the one i wouldnt think you were HIV+

my doctor did not do a throat culture. And the itchiness is just itchy I'm not seeing any visible rashes on my body. And also the mucus build up in the back of my throat doesnt feel like a soar throat yet its just difficult to swallow. Am i just overreacting and doing to much googling?

i really think you have oral thrush ... the white tongue the mucus build up

and that could very well be caused by the antibiotics like i said .

if you used a condom as you said , the risk of transmission is signicantly lower

i think your googling might have made you paranoid . i would look into treating the oral thrush and try not to worry about the HIV , youll get your results soon enough and that will give you peace of mind ,

so my hiv test came back negative. But im still worried. i only took the test 2 weeks after my potential exposure. it is now 4 weeks and am going in again tomorrow to take another test. Since the last test i got something for the oral thrush but it hasnt seemed to gone away ive been using it daily for about 1 week. i havent gotten better from when i first posted. still itchy and have mucus build up. no visible rash but i do have a bump on my neck thats red and one mid back thats red they seem like plugged pores and are a little tender. Also i just started to get chills and am really cold. but no fever and also headaches stemming from the neck but nothing to unbearable. whats the likely hood of a young male just getting a uti than it being hiv? still stressed this is killing me
