Do I have IBS?

Hello, so this is my first post so I'm a bit unsure about how this works but I've had this problem for a good while now. So I've been suffering with stomach cramps (not in any specific place, just in general and different types) and nausea for about a year now. I have a phobia of vomiting and I also get very stressed but this problem has been bugging me a lot. I have stomach cramps every day of my life and obviously they;re caused by different things because something surely would have happened by now, but is it IBS? I've been to the doctors so many times, and I've been told I have excess acid in my stomach. Then I was told I had IBS by not only a doctor but a Gastosomething specialist. The only symptoms I get are bad nausea and stomach cramps, but occasionally I get diarrhea. About 2 days ago I suddenly got the urge to go to the toilet but I put it down to this certain sauce I had which has upset me before, but since then I've kept on having an off stomach with cramps and bad nausea which has lasted all day. I also have no appetite, and this is all a bit scary because of my phobia. Is this IBS? Does it sound like it? Since my attack 3 days ago I've felt dreadful and I'm really worried about it now. Any help or advice would be great. Thanks.

I have IBS and have generalised stomach pain that moves from my left, middle and right and sometimes affects my back and under my ribs.  If the pain is bad I get nausea.  I usually get constipation but I have had loose stools as well.  I get deep grinding pain, stabbing and neuralgic pain.  Get tested for h pylori with a stool test, have a fecal calprotectin test for Crohns or Colitis, have an ultrasound, and a celiac test.  You could also ask for an endoscopy and colonoscopy/barium enema.  The barium enema is less invasive and is done without sedation.

Thankyou for your reply! I'm so sorry that you're suffering with these symptoms. I'll ask my doctor to do some more tests because there's a lot we havent ruled out yet. Hope that you're coping!

This week, my stomach has been sorer than usual because of stress.  I left my umbrella in a charity shop and it nearly got sold and I had difficulty finding the shop.  Luckily, I got the umbrella back.  Then a few hours after I had to go to the dentist which I hate.  Later, in the week I accidentally disconnected the Sky Box cable while dusting and my dad took a while to fix it.  Then, to cap it all, I had a meal at a chip shop that was a bit greasy and had white wine in a pub that was like vinegar in my stomach.  It was quite an assault on my intestines!
