Hi all, about 12 days ago I had unprotected sex with a new partner who I'm still talking to about a day after we had sex I started feeling my vagina and anus not feeling alright it feels raw and I'm still feeling this way also I have ibs so idk if that's causing the irritation around the anus I have no sores cuts or anything like that down there but the pain is still there is it all in my head? How soon after infection does the first outbreak occur? And how painful can it be? Can I have it without sores and can this uncomfortable feeling last 12 days if it is genital herpes or is it just something else please help

It can take up to 20 days for anything to appear. Keep an eye on it. Or you can go get checked. Remember lots of people carry the virus and don't know because they don't really have symptoms.

    Good luck!

My advice to you would be to get tested specifically for Herpes Simplex Virus. You could do some research prior to your visit to set your mind at ease. Research help you answer an array of questions that you wouldn't think of before your appointment and it will let you know which questions to ask during the time you have with your doctor.

      Well wishes to you ?

Have you ever heard of anyone suffering from a sore vagina and anus for more than two weeks without any lesions and still be herpes? Or could it be something else? How long does the first outbreak usually last and I'm planning on taking the test in 10 weeks but I've read that the test can tell you if u have it or not 4-6 weeks after infection is that true?

Irritated the feeling comes and goes it kind of feels like there's too much friction happening and it just hurts but it's been none stope for two weeks with no sign of lesions

You will find if it is in fact Herpes after a blood test. Or you should, all of this is newer to me too so from my experience you may OR may not be infected. Get an appointment with your doctor as soon as you can and research as much as possible before your visit. This is scary, but it WILL BE alright. Try not to worry and if a thought comes in your head before your appointment search out the answer, if not on here there are plenty of reputable sites. Them at your appointment you will find the final answer. Go with pen & paper so you won't forget.

Seems like each case is individual but A LOT the same.
