Hi, I'm sorry that you're dealing with all this, while a MS diagnosis obviously isn't great, I know from experience, that it's often preferable to not knowing.

Unfortunately, it's the nature of MS to frequently be difficult to diagnose. I was diagnosed in 2004.anyone with relapsing/remitting MS, will, when in remission, often experience healing and this can mean that they can get false negative results when having cerebrospinal fluid analysed, or MRI results examined. I'm sorry that what I'm saying isn't at all reassuring, while you, hopefully, don't have MS, I'm not surprised that your GP is pushing for more investigations.

Record everything, in writing, that you feel might relate to your health problems, symptoms, rough dates they began AND ended, tests, questions you have, concerns too. If it's possible to have someone you're happy with being with you, for neuro appointments, it can be very helpful, as they might hear something you miss, you then, also have a sounding board afterwards.

I'm sorry that my post amounts to a rambling 'I dunno...', but there aren't any simple answers to the situation. Good luck.

What are your symptoms? There are many things with similar symptoms to MS, but diagnosis can be difficult. Ideally, your GP and Neuro will perform an MRI of your head and spine to look for white matter lesions, and a lumbar puncture to look for proteins and oligoclonal bands in your spinal fluid.

MS can strike at any age, don't let anyone fob you off.
