Sorry to hear you're still suffering xx

I think that since you were feeling improvement at week 5, I think the medication will work for you.  Because you've been through an anxious and upsetting time recently, I imagine that's what's brought your feelings back.  Increasing the dose will make you feel worse again initially, as you'll have to go through the side effects again.

You could ask your doctor for something like Nitrazepam (think it's that one) as you can take it to help calm the anxiety whilst you wait to get through this difficult time.

Citralopram takes a long time to start working for most, and it will work for you if it's done so in the past.

I really feel for you, as it's difficult enough battling with depression without added stress on top.  You will get through this and out through the other side.  I know you will.

    K xx

Hi Dizzy, Once I completed 8 weeks on 20mg I decided to increase my dose to 30mg (after speaking with dr) and the increase has definitely benefited me, I was up and down on 20mg but since ive been on 30 I feel a lot more stable, probably been 2 weeks now of feeling pretty decent...

    All the best dizzy x
