[color=red:2f2eb186ce]Hello!

I started on the 18th November. 1st weigh in I'd lost around 8lb and was amazed! Over Xmas I ate as you do over Xmas, but I eat very small amounts anyway so it's not as if I pigged out big style. I am awaiting my 2nd weigh in and think I've probably lost another couple of pounds which isn't great but it was Christmas - we shall see!

Assuming I'm getting up to nearly a stone loss, I am surprised/peeved that nobody has noticed - NOBODY. I have asked my husband who doesn't really commit, same with my teen Son, my Mum hasn't said anything and people I only see every couple of weeks haven't noticed. it makes me feel quite down as I realise I was big to start with (5ft 2 12stone 11lb.

Has anybody else had the same or a similar non-reaction?[/color:2f2eb186ce]

    when i lost my first stone i hadn't lost any inches, that came a little later for me, i work in a school and my inch loss seemed to happen over the 6 week hols so when i went back everyone had noticed but i remember feeling good at the time about the lbs loss but annoyed at the lack of inch loss - keep at it and your body will change shape, even if for now no one is noticing, you're about a stone lighter and hopefully feeling better for it!

    the problem with people like your hubby, son, mother is that they see you all the time, we notices changes more in people we dont see so regularly apparently smile

    people you see everyday probably won't see the subtle changes and people you see less often will probably be wary of saying anything as diet and weight loss is a taboo subject to some. As long as YOU are happy that surely is all that matters

    keep up the good work

    you're right, its taboo, i haven't commented on anyones weight loss/gain for many years, about 5 years ago i asked a work collegue when her baby was due and she wasnt pregnant, had just put on some lbs around her stomach... i wanted the ground to open up and swallow me whole!

    Hey Maxi - I remember last time I lost 3-4 stone - over a year period. And my Dad never even mentioned anything until near my target when he said \"now - thats enough - don't lose any more\" lol

    Its usually your face etc people notice it most on and maybe youve lost all the weight elsewhere and your face is next..... Well Done - you've done so well and have really spurred me on!

    Thanks for the replies - feel better!

    Spookily, hub has just said tonight that my bottom looks smaller (it was humungous!) so maybe I've just lost a stone off there!

    Well done to all

    Hey I agree the people around you tend not to notice although my boyfriend does comment about my boobs and bum getting smaller! It makes you feel good when people do comment but I find the people who comment are usually people who you don't see often but know you're trying to lose weight-I agree others probably donotice but aren't sure if they should comment!

    Had weigh in - lost another 7lb so that's 16lb in 2 months. DELIGHTED! I only ate small meals before starting but as I am on heavy meds and can not exercise to a great extent, I never lost weight. Orlistat is the only thing that has helped. I haven't really changed what I eat although I am more conscious of my choices, stop when I'm full, have cut out snacking mostly, so it has been a wonder drug for me.

    People are starting to notice, but more importantly I now notice. Clothes are getting looser and feel lighter.

    BTW I did try Orlistat 4 years ago and it did nothing - bizarre!
