Can't help on the double dose question but i wouldn't have thought the side effects would be any worse than before. Flu has already soaked into your system, this will hopefully give you a boost.
As you can see sleep is not high on my agenda.

I have been on Fluoxetine for quite a while now. I did get some mild side effects when I first started. I too have had my dosage doubled to 40 mg. I was nervous about the increase and risk of side effects. It has been a while now and no significant/noticeable side effects. All I do get is a little nausea if I take my tablets and do not have a decent breakfast soon after. They began to help me feel better about 7-10 days after taking 40mg. I hope they work for you like they have for me.
Take Care Everyone.

MP - up at 1am? oh dear! hope you got some sleep. I had a restless night because it was the first night I wore my new mouth guard (to help stop me grinding my teeth at night) but managed to sleep in the end.
Am hoping the 40mgs work soon.
Will keep you updated.

I feel exactly the same - every day im just wating and getting anxious about the next one worrying what it'll bring.
Ive been like this for about 4 weeks and its like Groundhog Day...i want it to end but im not sure how or when it will. Im on 20mg Flu and am considering asking for a higher dosage as my moods are all over the place, im having regular anxiety attacks and just want it all to be over.
Im not scared to be addicted, if they are helping me then im happy to take them.
Dont be affraid to do more drugs, as long as they are prescribed then (hopefully) they will do more good than harm. I have faith in my doctor and really hope im on the right stuff as i am sure you are too!! :?

When i spoke to my doc when first prescribed with flu, i asked the addicted question. He said in the olden days before flu, the prescribed drugs could be addictive but one of the pluses with flu (and there aren't that many!) is that it is NOT addictive.
Just thought i'd pass that on.
