Does HRT help with swollen dry nasal passages?

I have been suffering from sinus problems & post nasal drip for months, I've had antibiotics & steroids but it's still a problem. When I was pregnant I had similar problems & was told it was hormonal changes causing the nasal passages to swell. Just wondering if it's hormonal changes from the menopause now causing problems & if HRT is likely to help? Bit concerned about HRT as I suffer from migraines & worry it will make this worse.

    Hi Jayne

    HRT hasn't helped me with my longstanding sinus problems, I'm sorry to say.  They just keep on going - only thing that helps these days is the Mometasone nasal spray that my GP prescribed, and which I was told I'll need to use every day.  An antihistamine every morning also seems to help....but not always.

      Thanks for that. I'm already using a spray the GP prescribed, Avamys but still struggling, it's the post nasal drip which is the worst symptom, coughing & trying to clear my throat all the time & losing my voice.

    Hi its all normal i have it also no need to stress extra with it allergy meds is what i take advil cold an sinus does it for me.
