Does it end

I am at my breaking point. The hot flashes are back with a vengeance. Palpitations, brain fog, dizziness, and anxiety waking me up in the wee hours of the morning. I just want to feel normal again. My mother never complained about this. I feel like a failure! Please tell me there is a light at the end of this tunnel!

Hang in there. You aren't alone, and you can't compare yourself to others. The last thing you need right now is to be hard on yourself.
We are on a roller coaster ride here. so many twists and turns, and the night time anxiety is the worst.

Hi Terri, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. I have noticed that my peri/menopause symptoms come in waves. This time last year, I went through the worst I've ever felt. I've had hot flashes, severe anxiety, health anxiety, mood swings, and dark thoughts, to name just a half of the symptoms. I'm okay now though I still have mild anxiety issues. My doctor prescribed me an anti-depressant but didn't take it. I started to exercise, practice meditation, started taking vitamins. (C, B12, D3, magnesium, omega 3). I also sought the help of a therapist from whom I've learned that to practice gratitude has all these benefits. It brings about positive emotions and makes us reflect more upon things we should be thankful for. I wish you all the best. Take care.

Hi there.
Try breathing exercises or yoga, helps with anxiety.
Have you spoken to your doctor?
Find a medical professional who understands what you are going through and explore the different options available to help you. For me HRT made all the difference.... Please don't suffer a moment longer....there is no need when there are choices available if you speak to your doctor.
