does it have to do with gall bladder or liver. what kind of doctor should i consult now

Hi, My grandmother is 77 years of age she has diabities, blood pressure and thyroid problem. A few days ago she suffered from stomach problem i took her to a physcian he gave her some pain killers and antibiotics. The pain occurs when ever she consumes fat. Yesterday she noticed that the whites of her eyes are becoming yellow i took her for (LFT) Her reports just arrived the results are as follows Bilirubin 3.01 protien 7.02 Alt 156 albumin 4.39 Ast 175 globulin 2.63 Alkaline phosphate 227 Ggt 440 a g ratio 1.67

    I think your grandmother has a gallbladder issue, she needs an ultrasound.

    Looks like she has Jaundice.  It could be a blockage from gallbladder stones.  Recommend you take her to the doctor quickly.  My father had the same issue at around that age.  He was addmitted to surgery and his gallbladder was taken out.  He was fine after that.

    Hi, Faran, you need to take your grandmother to see a gastroenterologist, who is a specialist, right away. I think this is very serious!  The doctor should have referred you to one.  Please let us know how she does, and best of luck to you both.
