Does my glans look okay? Little burning sensation
Posted , 3 users are following.
Hello everyone, recently I managed to pull down my foreskin, and saw my glans in it's entirety, there was a little smegma, and I am currently cleaning it. I want to know if my glans looks normal.
Also, when I pee, I get a little burning sensation, it doesn't hurt, just a little irritating, I've had an infection that caused burning before, and it was very painful compared to this. Also this burning sensation doesn't always appear.

Hello Kevin
It looks like a fungal infection to me. Don't use soap and try to keep it dry.
Have you been sexually active?
When you had sex last time?

Never had sex.
How can I remove it? Also when I'm cleaning it what should I use?

Use normal water to clean it.
Use clotrimazole 1% for a week .

Thank you for the quick replies!
Do you know what's this condition's name? Also is it serious?
Where exactly should I apply this gel?

It is called balanitis .
You should apply it in the areas that appear red example glans and foreskin.

How many times a day should I use it?

And also, how long should the gel stay there?

Apply it twice a day.
once in morning and once before sleep.
The cream will stay on its own, just apply on glans and foreskin and cover it with foreskin.
Make sure the glans are dry before application of the ointment.

Well done on exposing your entire glans! You may need to stretch your foreskin regularly if you do not regularly masturbate.
Smegma is naturally present on the head of the penis, the thing to do is to keep your hygiene right to stop the smegma from becoming problematical. You do this by washing with water only as often as you can after you urinate, following sexual arousal or ejaculation. Make sure you dry completely afterwards.
Your glans does not look completely healthy, but Lostknight has dealt with those issues.
Update your forum thread here if things don't come completely right in 3 or 4 weeks .....

Thank you!
A question, can I use a wet wipe / Toilet Paper / handkerchief to clean it instead of water? I don't always have the possibility of cleaning it with water.

What you are doing is removing any traces of bodily fluid from your Meatus (pee-hole) area, or any where on the penis that the fluids have made contact with.
So yes, when you are out and about - or otherwise cannot wash and completely dry with a towel, then use toilet tissue, or you could carry a small handy-pack of paper tissues to use. A wet wipe may start to kill-off the good bacteria that are naturally present on the head of your penis. No I would not use a handkerchief.
Use the same process of clean up after you have been sexually aroused, or following masturbation and ejaculation. The worst possible thing to do is to let any bodily fluid build-up on the head of your penis, this will not only create problematical smegma, put could lead to skin problems in the future!

clotrimazole 1% doesn't seem to dry up, for example I apply it before I go to bed, but in the morning most of it is still there.
Also, is it a problem if it gets wet? I apply it when my glans is dry, but later on it gets wet.

Today after I got out of the shower, I applied it on my glans and foreskin and did NOT let foreskin cover it until it was not possible to see. Should I do this instead?
