Does this look familiar?

I've had swollen nodes for the past 24 hours and noticed this lesion. I never noticed bumps or blisters. I'm 99% sure it's genital herpes, but most images I've seen show distinct bumps that bust. image

sometimes they can just appear as a patch of sore skin and not a spot its best to have a blood test to be sure that that is what it is some skin problems can look like that or infected hair follicles

I have routine 10 panel tests that include hsv1 and hsv2 testing. I'm usually at .91 on both due exposure to viral mono. Had intercourse on Saturday night with someone I've had intercourse with pretty consistently. I noticed my lymph nodes were swollen monday morning and noticed the lesion about 30 hours later. Almost made it to age 30 with a clean bill of health! I am kind of fortunate that it's not on the shaft. I know it's not the end of the world, but can be an uncomfortable conversation that'll make me feel vulnerable.

It looks like HSV to me. when i have an outbreak on my pelvic bone, rather than around the vagina, it comes up like this.

Keep in mind, the most effective test is a swab of the sores ASAP, more than 48 hours lessens its effectiveness.

Next, would be IGG blood test, however that'll only give uou a positive if youve built up enough antibodies (usually 3-4 months post exposure).

Lastly, the IGM blood test, its only effective after recent exposure, but does have a fairly considering false negative rate.

Your symptoms and the look of the picture is consistent with an HSV outbreak.
