Does your IBS sink you to rock bottom?

Hi people who kindly reply on here, i need your help. My IBS has climbed to new heights, it's really painful and has totally knocked my appetite today and yesterday. I feel ghastly. Is it possible that being so ill so frequently can make my IBS much worse, what would you suggest I take for this as it's not settling at all. I have tried ibuprofen, buscopan, not eating, the only thing I've not tried is colofac. Can anyone please recommend anything else for the pain because now my bowels are loose too!!!

Enteric peppermint oil capsules can calm IBS in some people. Make sure they are enteric to get through the stomach and I'd suggest taking it on an empty stomach to potentially avoid the heartburn. It may be a good idea to get checked out by your GP if this is something new all of a sudden....

Hi found colpermin very effective...
But as it's peppermint oil be careful as it can make things worse for some people... it did wonders for me though

Yes ask for some more tests.....IBS can be made far far worse with anxiety and stress. It's a spiraling situation one I couldn't actually break out of myself till I had a colonoscopy...

Do you know I agree with that but my physical health is so bad it is cutting across my mental health, I have wanted to jump due to ill health again this week, so the physical health my doctor's can help me with.
