Domperidone dosage - over 60?

I've had reflux for a few months and am currently taking Lansoprazole 30mg daily. As I am still having problems, today my GP prescribed Domperidone. I am to take x1 10mg tablet after each meal and x2 before bed - 5 tablets, or 50mg in total daily.

Having read the information about this drug, I am a little anxious as I am over sixty and have read that there is a risk of arrhythmia in taking this drug if one is over sixty and taking over 30mg daily.

Can anybody advise me?

    Hi Rosiemags

I believe Domperidone is for improvement of digestive transition.

This was what I was taking when I got Arrhythmia. ( I was taking Nexium as well)

My advice is to get off both ASAP.

PPI are now known to be a cardiac danger and Domperidone is banned in the USA
