Driving between cataract surgeries

I had my first cataract surgery on my left eye a few months ago and will have cataract surgery in 30 days in right eye. Before today, I was using a contact on my right eye but doc wants me out of contacts until surgery. Any suggestions on how to handle driving with only 1 good eye?

Perhaps, ask your doctor if it's OK if you use your contact lens in that eye during the short time that you're driving. And once you finish driving, remove it. .... Otherwise, I think it's just three days you need to be contact lens free, no?

You could wear glasses. I went years between surgery and could not even see the BIG E, so I lived with it driving and all.

I was able to see well enough with 1 eye to drive. Would not wear contact. It may mess with power calculation. 30 days vs s lifetime if regrets not worth it. if you have a pair of glasses could you just poke put one lens? That may work too

I also drove with only the operated eye for 4 months, before the second surgery. I even tried to use my old glasses by removing the lens from the already operated side, but for me it was better without anything.

In most jurisdictions it is legal to drive with vision in one eye only. However, it depends on how you feel about it. Can you take the IOL eye lens out of a pair of recent eyeglasses and use that?
