Dynasplint extension and ankle/Achilles issues

I have been using the dynasplint extension for one month. I wear 8-9 hours at night. Not sure of exact improvement but I’m having issues with my ankle. I have an ankle that has significant bone spurs and am considering a replacement. I had a cortisone shot that lasted only a week. But now I’m wondering if keeping my leg in the dynasplint and keeping my leg and ankle immobile for so long is affecting my ankle and Achilles. They are both so tight I cannot put any weight on my foot to walk. Any thoughts

Good morning.  I work at Dynasplint and I just saw your post.  Please contact your local sales consultant that fit you with the unit.  Because of the stretch you are receiving from the Dynasplint, it is normal for some post-wear stiffness; however, you should not be having pain.  If you think the tightness you are experiencing is coming from the use of your Dynasplint, having that discussion with your consultant will be a good first step...no pun intended.  I hope this helps.

I did speak to dynasplint tech and they assured me it should have nothing to do with my issue. I however am not sure so I have decided to stop wearing it for a few days to see if the Achilles, ankle and pain up my legs subside.
