Hi, I was staying in rural France in an area that I know has lot's of tics! And people have got lyme desease staying there in the past. I was bitten by something in my groin area a few weeks ago whilst there, the bite left almost a bit of a hole in my skin and was red and a bit itchy, but didn't come up in the typical a lyme rash (and I didn't see a tic but I wasn't looking)- I would have thought nothing of it seeing as it was mid november and there was already a frost, so not many tics about. However 5 days after the bite I started to feel unwell with flu like symptoms, that have persisted for almost two weeks. THere is no cough or cold, just an ache behind my eyes and a head ache that comes and goes feeling tired and generally feeling unwell, and a stiff nick . Are these typical early symptoms...could it be lymes? I know someone who got lymes from this same area, but being november time I hesitate taking antibiotcs when it could be a winter virus. Any suggestions/advice appreciated. I never get ill for this long and it's just not getting better which is why I am concerned! Also unclear of what lymes early flu like symptoms can be. Thanks..

Hello. Oh you need to really most likely, and most probable get treatment asap. Get tge, western blot blood Test to confirm lyme asap. If not, then note[]. []

Lyme is serious , and taking antibiotics have to be perscribed. I would go in right away.
Be blessed
