If you google "ejaculate volume decrease with age", then this seems to be normal, especially for pre-ejaculate.
The force of ejaculation reduces significantly too, and I've noticed this myself (I'm 51). This obviously isn't scientific, but I remember watching a stand-up comedian who likened his previous performance with being able to cover his girlfriend's body "like a plasterer's radio", but his current performance with the sound you get when you open a pot of yoghurt.
If you're 72 and still performing, then you're probably fine, but I'd ask your GP for a PSA test if you haven't had one for more than a few years. It's a blood test (rather than the finger up the behind test), and has a high rate of both false-positives and false-negatives, but it's worth knowing what it is (and more importantly how it's changing), especially if there's any family history of prostate cancer. Most of the ejaculate comes from the prostate btw.
You could either see your GP, or if you're in the UK, you could go to a genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic - google "GUM clinic near me" for details.
If you could update this thread and tell us what the doctors say, it would be appreciated. Good luck.
There is also a forum for prostate problems btw, though as things stand, it doesn't look like you actually have a problem:

To answer your question , it is normal for the aging male to produce less ejaculate and you shouldn't be too concerned about it . I myself being in your age range , have experience less ejaculate also , and my prostrate PSA has been checked on a regular basis resulting in correct levels..I might add, if you haven't had your Testosterone level checked lately , that definitely should be done . The right level of Testosterone would help your ejaculation
Performance.. My thoughts .
