Good afternoon all,
First post to the forum!
Fow a few years now, I’ve had occasional upper stomach pain which often occurred at night time and on several occassions, these pains were so severe that I ended up in A&E.
4th Feb I had an Endoscopy (without sedation - which I would recommend to anyone as it’s genuinely not as bad as it seems) and I was told a week or so later by my GP that I have Gastritis.
The results came back (according to my report) as ‘Mild flat erosive gastritis, involving the antrum duodenum, the second part of the duodenum was found to be normal’.
I’ve got my GP appointment next week to go over the results and to discuss what’s next, but as a matter of curiosity (and whilst I completely understand results vary massively from person to person) does anyone else have something similar or given something similar on their report?
Thanks all,
Nathan

Hi Nathan,
Sorry, I realise that this was a few months ago but just wanted to see how you are doing and if you got some answers from your GP?
I had an endoscopy on Friday and was told I had 'gastric erosions' but they didn't say how severe or how many. I also have oesophagitis and a hernia. I left feeling extremely panicked; I don't have h-pylori and am wondering why I have developed this and am diagnosing myself with all sorts of horrible things!
Hope you don't mind me responding and hope you're doing OK.
Hayley
