I have a problem for the ladies to solve and it's a good one! You know the curse of being female and have IBS and all the problems that then leads to. But. I can't up that one because every month now I get an IBS flare up (not when I ovulate) and what appears to be a urinary infection, feel irritated when I wee, temperature, pain, nausea and yet each time I am just shoved on antibiotics. What do I do to stop all the pain, the so called infections and the IBS that is then chronic. I have just completed more antibiotics which wasn't a urinary infection so I was told today. Am I going mad? How else do I keep any cleaner vaginally so all if this stops. What do I tell my doctor? Would you see a specialist? I am getting really p****d off and desperate and just need help. My dad died of kidney cancer you can may be see my fear? Would you take someone with you to the doctors?

      I was wondering because I have had some similar symptoms during my period. I would have some pain while urinating but it didn't feel like a urinary tract infection or anything. I was also urinating very often and my gyno said that it was my hormones causing me to feel that way. I don't really get a temperature though. I did get a very low grade one with this IBS flare up though. It only got sand like 99.

      Exactly! I am awaiting an appointment to see my doctor to see urology, I have waited so many years NOT months! This keeps getting worse. How do you manage the pain?

      My pain during urination isn't horrible. I usually either take Tylenol or Ibuprofen. The pain that I can't get under control is my IBS abdominal pain. I've taken Motrin, Hyoscyamine, and Tylenol but nothing takes that pain away.

    Hey Sam...I know it is difficult to go through all of these....well I am sure, You are doing whatever is in your hand...One thing I want to mention is that I have a friend who had the similar problems...recurrent urinary tract infection...and then eventually she has to be put on higher dose of antibiotics because eventually the traditional ones stopped working....And doctor has told her that as we take any antibiotics we are killing our body's healthy bacteria too...which help us to fight the bad bacteria with the help of our immune system....and if you take oral antibiotics for UTI, Then it can also kill good bacteria in your gut too...which can create another problem, A whole new story.....So I suggest when you tell your doctor your history, tell them about so many rounds of antibiotics.. and draw their attention to this issue....They might prescribe you some probiotics, which will help you to generate your healthy bacteria....

    Another thing about IBS  flare ups. when I used to have my IBS flare ups...I felt like I am having fever, I felt my body warm but when I check my fever with thermometer, It shows normal temprature..I got really frustrated because i didn't have any evidence to prove what I was feeling....Then I met my ayurvedic doctor...She could explain my each and every symptoms and not only that...within few weeks with the treatment I started feeling better and now I don't have those symptoms....So sometimes for chronic conditions it is good to think out of the boxbiggrin

      Hi jello, I have just had a call back off my doctors and my test is clear. I have been booked in to my doctors at 11.20 as the pain had stoppef and I still burn when I wee,y bladder still feels irritated every time I wee. I was given a medication to dilute my we're 3 years ago when this last got as bad fr my lady surgery. I'd like that, not antibodies. I take probiotics regularly. I think this is hormone related as this happens every month. The pain is over my right hand side, not left. I have mold divetticulosis and IBS too but it's not that. I want tp see urology too. To rule out anything else. My dad died of kidney cancer I don't want that and it be too late to do anything. I genuinely terrified and don't vwanr it to persist. I'm sick of antibiotica they ate clearly doing nothing!

      All sorted i:'be got kidney or bladder stones, they're agony truth be known. I had an xray in hospital yesterday and until the results cone back I can',t do any more. I'll have to manage that's all. My husband did meet me at the hospital yesterday, so he did alright in fairness.
