Escitalopram to venlafaxine

Hi out there.

I’ve had a rough 7 months after our daughter was born I’ve trialled citalopram and escitalopram with some luck but terrible side effects. So my doctor has me on venlafaxine now. I’m trying to stay positive but it’s hard not to feel down and wonder if I will be like my old self or better still a new better self now I’m a dad. I love my kid to bits but worry about her a lot when things aren’t going great. I’m hoping the venlafaxine helps.

Has anyone out there been from escitalopram to venlafaxine before and had much luck?

Or know what the initial side effects are like?
