Hi after 6months of hell. From sweating, anxiety /depression, aches and pains. You name it I've got it! I am trialling HRT (estrelle duet 1mg).

Anyone on it and any advice?

Please give me your experience.

Thanks

Hi Zoe i now how you feel, this was me! i was the same so went on HRT. Not the same one's as you but it helps with these symptoms. I had to stop them for a while as was having to be put under aneasthtic, for a hysteroscopy & a removal of a polyp. All came back fine, i was off HRT for 9 weeks. After 6 weeks the anxiety & sweats came back with avengence ugh! Back on them now started to feel better going into the 6th week of being back on them.I think quality of life is so important not feeling as i was? Hope this helps x

Thanks Mars. Glad to hear all OK. Did it take a while to see any improvements?

I've also been told that the progesterone part of the tablets can be abit troublesome, do you have any opinion on that?

Yes it does vary but most people start to feel the benefits from 5/6 weeks , its very subtle i would feel  little better some days then might have a dip ? After 6 weeks my anxiety was gone. I do take both both estrogen & progesterone but seem ok, some people do get trouble i know. But i know they work well for me! How long have you been taking them?

      Only just started them.

I was told the progesterone part of the pack might be a rough ride if I suffered with pms. I never had until I started the change and now it's very obvious during my cycle.

I'm hoping the balance of hormones will sort things out but I know it's a trial and error.

How long have you been on HRT?

I have been on them now for around 36 months the one's i take now, i was on different ones @ first as was still having a period not regular though. I think it must be aruond 6/7 years now? I do get checked mamograme & scan's on womb as very important if on HRT but my GP asked me lots of questions b4 going on HRT. Re family history.
