Hi guys,

With fibromyalgia I am always tired but lately it has been pretty unbearable. I sleep but I wake up even more tired than before. I am taking b vitamins, vitamin c, ginseng and don't know what to do. How do you combat the fatigue?

Hi! I just had a relapses with rmsf and I was describing my pain and symptoms to my doctor and she told me that's fibro symptoms. My symptoms are tender shoulder/chest joint/bone/rib/back/spine pain anxiety depression/ ibs/ tender sposts also on my head and elbows and inside of arm. Also my back & neck crack & pop a lot. Even have popping and discomfort in base of my skull. I to have back fatigue also. But they just put me back on doxycycline again & I'm slowly starting to feel better again. U can get doxycycline only pharmacy without prescription you should give it a try & see if it helps. Talk to your doctor also see what they think. Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Brenda, thanks for the suggestion but I looked it up and it turns out it is an antibiotic, they completely drain me, you also have to be careful taking it if you have asthma or are on anti-seizure medication which is a big yes to both for me. I am glad it is helping you though smile

    Hello Leimodnunewra,

I don't know the answer to this, nor have I met anybody on a fibro site that does! I am on amitriptylene, helps with sleep, not so much with pain. It seems that restorative sleep is what we need, but not sure if I get that, or how you tell! The way I cope is by pacing myself during the day, have a nap in the afternoon, or have a lay in, if possible. I do find that when I wake up it seems impossible that I can get up, sometimes. But once I have had a glass of fruit juice and a cup of tea I am ok to face the day.

    Take care, Anne

      Hi Anne,

I am on amitriptyline as well, thanks to it I actually sleep at night. I wish my situation allowed for a day time nap, it's definitely needed most days
