A TKR is a Total Knee Replacement. If you had an FKR then you had a %@#$ing Knee Replacement...yeah, and that's the way it feels post-op...
Normal? THERE IS NO NORMAL!!!! Everyone goes through this differently. However...

Hope some of that helps. I'm 6 months p/o and have almost zero pain, a slight swollen look and some clicking/popping. 0/+130 flexion that took 9 weeks of PT, 2X/week. Had to get past some sciatica because my SI joints locked up. Now it's to the gym to strengthen quads and glutes. This doesn't end when PT does.
Saw the doc yesterday for my alignment check. They take an x-ray and then draw a line from hip through knee to ankle. Poifect. Whew...surgery was dead-on. He told me that I could be hearing the clicking forever...it's a mechanical device that moves metal over plastic. I can live with that. Everything else subsides over time...12-18 months or longer.
You are 90-days p/o...in another 90, you'll be soooooooo much better...

Deborah, you didn't read his version of what FKR Stands for. Stroll up and you will notice what the "F" means and it's not full.

That is normal I am 6 weeks post op and my scar still pulls and stings a little it is getting better each day even though I still can't get up and down the stairs properly yet keep taking the med and excerise the stiffness will go in time I do get days when I want to cry and wish I never had it done but in the long run its for the best good luck with your recovery and I am so happy I found this site we know we are not alone
