I don't have a solution to this, but I get chest pain with anxiety too. Also have that tight, breathless feeling you mentioned. I find that the worse the anxiety, the worse the symptoms. Also get heart flutters and palpitations. I have sleep anxiety so am not at all worried by these symptoms. I did have health anxiety as a teenager though and I know it's horrible xx

Oh, forgot to say, I am also a mum and have these worries about not being there for my daughter or her not having a mummy one day. This is probably your anxiety talking and not real. Obviously I'm not a doctor, so I wouldn't like to say for definite, but if you've already been examined and they are happy, I would go with that. My partner once had what we thought was a heart scare and it turned out to be A massive anxiety attack. He collapsed in the street and his heart was racing all over the place. He had chest pain for weeks. We never found the cause, and he later had more attacks which we realised were anxiety. He is fine now, completely fine and rarely has anxiety at all. There is hope for you X

I don't know what to say. If you are in good health now why worry it just gives us anxieties and the anxieties we do not need. You have a fear and that okay to have anxieties with your health and your heart. Maybe when you were younger you saw someone die of a heart attack and that could be putting fear in you about yourself.

Its just anxieties. Do you have heart burn heart burn can cause chest discomfort in people have that checked out besides the anxieties it could be heart burn that you have

Sorry you have been going through this but do you know that if you suffer from anxiety it causes more.adrenaline through your body. That is what is causing you the problem. When adrenaline goes through you it exacerbates any feeling you have and makes it feel real. It is not! Believe me it is adrenaline. Maybe I'm wrong but if you can try and believe that you will conquer it. Hard I know but I have had to do it and because of that I know how hard it is. Try and realise it and you will get through it xx

The problem with the heart is hat is your main engine. Those with health anxiety can be helped. However when a pain is felt in the heart it panics the brain then the brain kick off the flight, fight or freeze response and floods the body with adrenaline this then causes the heart to race backing up the mind that's saying there's a problem with my heart. Sometimes it works the other way the head started it and the heart reciprocates it's a vicious circle one way or the other.

It's worse with the heart rather that pain to your finger,

Knee or back as you simply can't live with out it therefore it's way more serious.

I have had palps and pains and all sorts for the last 11 years. My suggestion is to see a doc then a specialist cardio! Once you have had it all checked out and given the all clear after all the checks. You can relax! Listen to the experts. The feelings may not go away, but at least the brain will know that they are not serious pains, palps, flutter or feelings and you can get on with life.

    Best of luck!

Hey, I had chest pain a while back and it was sore to breath and move and sleep! My doctor said that picking heavy things up or even children that you can bruise your sternum and it becomes painful! It can stay for several months and kind of comes and goes after that... Does it hurt when you put a little pressure on your sternum???
