Feel Dizzy

I am anxiety pateint. since 2.5 Years... recently i taking Citalopram 10mg since 6 months while taking it before 20mg. but the problem is that before 1 week  i felt dizzy and imbalance and thats reason changing in my mood. My GP said your B.P dailostic is pre HIgh 95/120. and also said oily foods avoiding. my age is just 24. what can i do can i follow up my Neuroligist??? any suggestion please.

    Hi Vittal

    These meds take a long time to work and any change in dosage will invariably produce side effects, this is what you are experiencing now.These will pass once your body adjusts.To the change in dose.

    your blood pressure is high because of your heightened anxiety but also needs to be monitored by your doctor.

    The anxiety will improve but it's a game of patience.

      Boss you are right but i am worried about it... last 3 year back i was in major depression and anxiety disease. but after take medication of Paroxetine CR 25mg 2 Years. and then move to citalopram 20 to 10mg. but I will follow my neourologist today. lets see what happen. need for prayers. thanks

    go and talk to your Neurologist because they should give you some reassurance and a clearer picture .all I can say is that your experience is similar to mine especially with the blood pressure but that has stabilised now because my anxiety and depression have settled.

      Felis thanks for support me. i did check my BP is 85/120 now is normal. but i consult my General Physcian he said to me? you can increase your dose citalopram from 10mg to  20mg at night which i took at last night. today is some better feel. but It could be take same days for proper setting in brain. sysmtoms is only like weakness in the body and dizzy feel when i stand and walking. where you from are you also patient ??? thanks for reply me

      acutually problem started when i leave Tabbaco Chewing once day suddenly. i was fine before that. my family members instructed to me leave the bad habbits. sad That day my brain wants Tabbaco flavor but i did not took. thats the only reason for this chemical inbalance in brain. but now i chewing the tabbaco buttlesnut as usuall.

    Hi Vittal I'm from Australia and suffered anxiety for many years but currently stable and leading a normal life.

    You may suffer side effects from upping the dose but these will pass in time. Withdrawing from tobacco I believe is also difficult so speak to your doctor about doing this properly.

      but i feel same change but not propper well..... freind i will go to my consult neurologist tonight. hope he will help me with prescribed any medicine. 3 years back when fisrt time i thought much more things and bring pateint depression and anxiety. when Dr. priscribed me Paroxteine CR 25mg. that was great medicine.

      I am from pakistan male and my age just 24 recetly. withdrawing tabbaco is os possible but not suddenly. that habit it could be finish slowly slowly because i am also brain patient.

      Good luck Vittal It is the best solution to consult a professional.Do you still live in Pakistan? Or UK?My son is not much younger than you so only too happy to support you .My son has also suffered with anxiety but now very well and studying at University.

      Are you women?? Actually last night I miss the dr time. Tonight I am going. Anxiety feel more I have taken 2 tablets of citalopram once a day. Bit until not feel well. I am worried disturb from all the body now. Pls pray for me. Let's see doctor change my medicine as well.

      I just visit to my neorologist he priscribed some medicines ecitalopram 20mg alprazolam 0.5 prochlorperazine maleate 5mg. And vitamin d3 supplement. I took at last night slept well. But feeling virtigo as usuall I think it will be fine in 2 or 3 days.

    Yes I am a woman ,Mum to two adult children and a very supportive husband so I am a very fortunate person. Do you have family you can talk to? This would be helpful to you if you have someone who can help you. If not you can talk here. 

    I am pleased you went to the doctor and have the right medication.Just keep taking this and very slowly you will recover it just takes a lot of time.

      Mum i feel better after again change the medicines, Paroxetine CR 25mg And Clonazepam 2mg for sleeping. but my mother is in problem recently she had a paralyzed stroke after that she was good. after my condition seeing perhaps she is in tension. and she has feel now her brain is not working properly.... neorologist said to do MRI and I have done. report wil take tommorow. just because i am sharing you my heart talk for relaxation.
