Hi Maria, Yep, I wake up feeling like this every day, it's never ending, sometimes I ask myself what's happened to me, I've turned into a different person, unable to function the way I used to, seems my coping mechanisms have got up and left

Also terrible anxiety and low mood. I was out shopping with my husband earlier and the motion of the car, especially when he was swinging in the parking space has made me feel woozy & sick

Stopped my HRT low dose patch and progesterone tablet 2 days ago. I woke up about 7ish this morning In a panic attack so I've resorted to cutting one of my patches in 1/2 to try and wean myself off the hormones a bit slower instead of cold turkey...so to speak

Sorry for the rant Maria, just needed to get this off my chest

Hope your feeling a bit better

    Hi Maria,

Yes. This is a very common thing for me for several months now. Do you notice it's worse at certain times? Generally, it's worse for me as my period is ending and sometimes right after ovulation. I also get lots of anxiety and a feeling like I am functioning in a daze, and dizzy as well. It will last most of the day almost always lift at night. Your not alone. I am right here with you and battling every day.

Sending you hugs whilst we all work our way through this period of our lives xxxx

Yes thats either because your sugars have dropped during the night and you need to eat, or, its down to hormones fluctuating all of a sudden, if it comes on very quickly and then goes, its more likely to be hormones, however, if  you find it goes after you have eaten, then it could be your sugars dropping, all perfectly normal during peri flares, your not diabetic, its just how the hormones affect balances in other areas due to the female hormones fluctuating.

Yes Maria to me waking up in the morning was the worse feeling, it does get better but from experience i feel with peri/meno these symptoms feelings come and go, i was staring meno a year ago and then had ovaries out, symptoms were abit sparse afterwards but suddenly showing their face again eight months later, the morning doom as i call it rears its ugly head now and then x

Yes, it's a horrible feeling.  Last week, I tried having a snack at bedtime, something with protein and little or no sugar, and I felt a little better than usual when I woke up the next morning.  I definitely think my blood sugar is getting too low overnight.

Yes! Every day I wake up shaking, weak, and soooo nauseous!! It's a struggle to eat something so I can take my medication! Have had burning chest pain all day, went to ER, had tests, said all was fine, but still having burning pains!! I can't believe there isn't more the medical community can do! Tired of being sick!!

I totally sympathize with you Debbie,

I feel like this too. The nausea can be the worst. I've even had vomiting at times. It's caused me so much distress and to loose weight when it occurs. Hope you feel better soon as well, it can be awful.

The weight loss was/ is very scary for me! Very hard to eat most times, so hard to gain any back. Frequently, hard to even drink water. Can't imagine living in this agony for 10-25 years! Hope things calm down soon! To make matters worse, I have had my gallbladder out, so now have double the worries! Here's hoping we all feel better soon!

I can second that. That was scary for me too. I lost 20 lbs in these 5 months quickly. A lot of worrying and stress from trying to figure out what was wrong with me. Then the gas, nausea, and indegestion sometimes makes it hard to eat. This is a hell of a journey.

How much weight have you lost? Gained any back? Do you think it pertains to hormones? Hope you feel better as well!

Hi Debbie, I lost 20lbs but I gained 5lbs back so far. I needed to loose weight but not that much. I'm wanting to gain 5 more lbs though. I do think the hormones had a big part. I would feel so nauseous and have no appetite for weeks at a time. Food didn't even look appealing sad For the past week though, I have been Starving and eating everything I can get my hands on. This perimenopause has my body fluctuating from one end to the other. What a rollercoaster ride!

Well that sounds encouraging! How long have you been peri approximately? How long have you had nausea? Just looking for that light at the end of the tunnel!

It's been so odd, sometimes the nausea and lack of appetite would come during my cycle and sometimes right after ovulation. No rhyme or reason. It felt like morning sickness sometimes. I've been in peri since July of 2015. But the symptoms hit hard in October, let up, then knocked me for a loop in December. I spent Christmas day at the ER, dizzy and feeling out of sorts. It's hit or miss. As soon as you feel better, it creeps back up and slaps you in the face. I hope this ends soon. We all are hurting so terribly and need relief
