Hello deborah. Winge away, we don't mind but I wonder what's brought this on and so suddenly. I presume this is very unusual for you but it's unlikely to be prolapse related unless you've had a reaction to a painkiller you have taken. It does sound unusual though. Hope it wears off quickly.

Hi matron yes it is unusual for me to be ill in general and even since my op I have generally felt very well except when I have tried to do too much but never anything like this. I had actually taken some painkillers just before I went to lay down ( just my usual ones) but perhaps for some reason today I have had a bit of a reaction to them.

That's a possibility deborah. I know from my nursing your symptoms did sound as though they were caused by medication but having said that the other ladies are also right. Can be the start of an infection or just a reaction to the surgery. Keep in touch though and let us know how you areย

Yes Deborah I have felt like this quite often and thought i had infections but got over it...very strange...1 day fine and the next, feeling awful...Panicky feelings make you feel worse and I have had constant indegestion through worry.....am nearly 5 weeks since op and am able to do small things now but rest when you need to...xxxxx

Hi eve the thought of infection did cross my mind too but - I don't have a temperature or any other symptoms -so think it's unlikely- but reassuring to know that other have spells of feeling like this too

It could be the start of an infection deborah. Sometimes you don't have a temperature until 12-24 hours after the start of other symptoms so just in case drink plenty of fluids and see or speak to your GP if you do develop a temperature, and just as important.........rest!

I've been feeling the same on and off, it's very draining and stressful. I have to keep telling myself it's because of what I've been through and still going through. There is light at the end of the tunnel. My boyfriend is not understanding and makes things much worse by saying he doesn't think we're going to work whenever we argue. I don't think I could cope with a breakup until I'm emotionally stronger so I'm trying to hold on. I find just letting it out and crying when I need to helps. X

Rosie sorry hear he's not being very supportive - that's really not what you need right now, I know that I have been very lucky as my hubby has been great whilst I've been recovering

After any surgery patients are emotionally vulnerable but especially after gynae surgery and it's something I always told ladies and their husbands/partners on hospital discharge. It's now going into my discharge information as well. Ladies need lots of tlc because somehow, I don't know exactly why but it seems to affect our hormones.

Hi matron, sorry to jump in lovely, just wanted to update you

on today.it all went well.he was quite chilled out really lol.

He told me that I must not lift, bend or stretch for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks

And I donthasve pain I can slowly move around and build up.

He told me to listen to mjy body,if I don't have pain I'm doing well, but

If I do I must stop and rest. Ivan drive matron when I font feel pain

Sitting, brndih and the test with my foot.I have decided to not drive for

6 weeks matron. Bleeding will be light for a fre days then Just discharge

After that. With the stockings he said to wear them until I'm mobile,

      Makes sense doesn't it matron?

I forgot to ask how long the op is.another thing I did mention was

That I have no issues with peeing only I've noticed if I nerf a pee I can hold off

Going for about 20mins then I need to go,isd this urge incontinence? He said no

But any advice please. He said ant repair won't cure that anyway. But my question

Is is this urge or just normal. I'm guessing there is only certain amount

Of time yoiu can hold bladder if you need to go right matron?

Other than that matron all went well. ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜

He's told you everything I've said on this forum. Regarding you needing a pee he's right it's not urge incontinence and to be honest I think it's just part of getting older. The reduction of the female hormones causes this.ย

I'm pleased your appointment went well and your Urogynaecologist sounds a real gem. You are lucky. Mine was exactly the same even though he knew me and all my experience but he treats all his patients the same. You have absolutely no need to worry so start relaxing and prepare your body and mind for this operation x๐Ÿ˜˜
