I don't want to eat, don't want to socialise don't want to stay here but I like to think it's for my own good. My phone is not working properly don't see the main Dr till tomorrow. Tempted just to run but the police will be called so I'm in catch 22. If I discharge myself I can't guarantee I'll be safe either. So will just have to put up with it I suppose.

Tina - just hang in there. Calm down and remember it's all to help you. It won't be forever and after you've seen the main doctor you may start to feel better. That's his job: let him do his job.

Managed to get out for my half hour very tempted to run but that would make it worse for me I know cos then they could keep me against my will. Want to scream and shout but you can't do that with loads of other people listening and looking. I f### hate this and me for being like this.

I'm not excusing your son for a minute, but I reckon even mature sons & daughters can go into a total panic if Mum is falling apart.   I have only one child, a middle-aged daughter, and she's a total bitch to me when I'm down:  it breaks my heart but I can't make her be supportive if she can't cope.

You're not the only one with a neglectful son - after all we did for them, they just switch off and don't need us any more. Hope he sends a text today for you, Tina.

So you got a text !!! hope it was a kind one. My son visited near here last week but didn't call in. Very hurtful - trying not to think about it, trying to be positive. I won't scold him because it would make it worse.

Yes it was, I'm sure they don't think as it's just mum and she'll be OK. Quite sad if he was just visiting nearby. Even a sorry not enough time at least they acknowledge yoU. I'm getting annoyed with this keyboard and access it is very intermittent going to watch a film on my laptop that will pass another hour or so. Xx

Tina, I know it must be really difficult for you at the moment, but can you just breathe slowly, be as calm and peaceful as you can, meditate if you know how and just take it a little bit at a time, at least until you see the doctor tomorrow.

You're safe where you are even if it isn't the most pleasant of places to be, keep reminding yourself why you came into hospital - hang in there!
