What is your dosage, Maylee?  Were you started at a lower dose and then increased?  You may be quite sensitive and a lower dose would make more sense for you.  Yes, these drugs have side effects but if they are severe enough as to be very troublesome, then this may not be the med for you.   A lot of folks say push on through.  Only you can decide.  I would suggest you go online and do a search for Prozac side effects, since they list the ones that you SHOULD SEE YOUR DOCTOR IF....

I am on the lowest dose but today just woke up jittery and feeling not good but they went away the side effects I feel better now. I have tried two other pills like buspar and paxil made me very very sick so this one is the least side affects and less feeling sick. I see my Dr. Soon so maybe he will either give me something for the nervous feelings but I will have to see thank you so much for getting back to me.

These are typical side effects when you first start this type of medicine.  Yes, they will disappear in time, usually a few weeks.  Your mood will be up and down for a while too whilst the medicine stabilises in your body - some days up, other days down ..... or you might find a morning will start bad with lots of anxiety and by the end of the day you might feel quite calm.

It will calm down in time.  These meds take a long time to work, so keep persevering and you find yourself feeling better in time - think months though, not weeks.

Yes exercise is good as it helps burn excess adrenaline and raises the endorphins making you feel good.

Thank you so much and your right I felt better in the afternoon. I will keep on with this med because way less side affects than the other two I have taken. I am on my treadmill releasing energy I have. Thank you again for answering me I have a long road ahead of me because I barely started feeling all this anxiety and stress with panic attacks in October on Halloween so its just hard to get rid of so I need all this advice.

You'll find recovery often comes and goes in waves/patches.  Some days or weeks will feel real bad and other times you'll feel great.  This can go on for a few months, but slowly the good times get longer and stronger.

Its such a horrible illness to have as you can't just step out of it, and the meds aren't a quick fix either.  It's so uncomfortable and scary feeling like this and it seems the only way to get better is to persist with the meds, understand what's happening to your body, understand it will take time, expect to feel up and down ....... and through all this keep on persisting with the meds.  Exercise, keep healthy, socialise if you can ...... and just keep reminding yourself that you're going through recovery.

You will get through this and will recover in time.

Forgot to say that increasing a dose doesn't bring recovery to you any quicker either, and some people find too large a dose makes them groggy and unwell.  Whatever dose you're on, you are going to still feel nervous and anxious, but it will ease in time with continuation with the meds.  Just ride the through the bad times.

Yes exercise! Anything you can do. Did Dr give you any anti-anxiety med to get you over the first few wks? I have Klonapin. Iv been on Zoloft,Lexapro an Cymbalta now Prozac is my 4th to try. I ran out of Klonapin an went to my MD an told him that I took 1 Prozac an had bad anxiety attack all day. So I haven't started it yet. Im fixin to. I broke my foot so have been unable to exercise since Nov 24th. Its drivin me nuts to not be able to exercise! I hope Prozac is the one! Have you heard anything about Curcumin? Its a derivative of tumeric. It's suppose to help with depression among other things like inflammation. But you need to take with black pepperr for maximum absorption. If anyone knows more please post.

Hi, I started Prozac just over four weeks ago and I'm just starting to feel the positive effects. I had a few side effects during the first few weeks but they all seem to have mostly cleared up now and I'm feeling okay! I'm just one person but I thought it might help if you knew my experience smile I hope things get better for you!

I had same thing. I found doing yoga and pilates envigorates my body as well as relaxes my mind. Though beta blockers really helped with the panic.
