Hi
Went to my GP on Monday as the constant nausea and reflux are now getting out of hand, he put me on diclifenic to help manage the pain that my gallbladder is causing me and I have to say so far that seems to be working, im generally in discomfort but definetley manageable, he also prescriped domperidone three times a day for the nausea and reflux ( im already taking 40mg omperazole daily ) I started the domperidone on Tuesday morning and felt great Tuesday and most of Wednesday, the reflux sick kicked back in weds night and has not stopped since! And I have been nauseus again since the early hours of Wednesday morning. Currently I have had to come home from work to get changed ( im a sales rep so spend a lot of time driving ) as I had yet another reflux episode in the car and was unable to pull over to spit the bile out of my mouth which has resulted in my coat and trousers being covered. Has anybody please got any tips to manage this as my op won't be until late May early June at the earliest and I really can not continue like this for much longer

Just wondered how long you have on Omeaprazole for as long term use can result in very low magesium which can result in severe vomiting and tetany.
I ended up in hospital a few times a result of this as a result of the above ending up with seizures etc.
I would suggest that you have your Mg levels tested and consider a magnesium supplement.
Best of luck

Been on the omperazole since late November so just under 5 month, was on 20mg until beginning of Feb when I was admitted to A&E and they increased my dose

I have stopped most of the meds and cut the omperazole down to 20mg a day. The anti nausea and the painkillers the doctor gave me were making me sick! At the moment I'm. Eating several small snacks instead of eating meals which seems to be working for now, although as we both know what works this week may not work next week, but having a good few days at the moment so will make the most of it, hope your feeling well at the moment too xx

I did try an anti nausea med from the docs, which made me sick! Not good! I have now stopped eating set meals and just snack throughout the day, im finding that eating little and often is working for now, the sickness has not completely gone but has eased greatly, so will stick with this regime whilst it is working, living off sandwich thins with cucumber as a filling and rich tea biscuits at the moment x
