feeling worried about large cyst, having strange symptons, i dont know what to do, please any help

i was diagnosed with a 15cm cyst about three weeks ago as i had severe abdo pain, i was in hospital for a week then discharged home with instructions to come back if the pain got worse, also the ct scan showed a growth on my adrenal gland and i was passing blood so also waiting to see the urologists.

For the past few days my stomach has blown up and i look about eight months pregnant, constant low abdo pain, and shoulder pain, i have also started to get breathless doing simple things like getting up and walking round the house, i have pain in my thigh but i have been getting severe pain in my knee and there is a swelling behind the knee cap and my calf is sore and swolen this is all on the my left hand side, i dont know if this is related or a seperate problem but the breathing issue is worrying me, but i dont want to go to the er unless i really need too, i have had a pulmonary embolism about ten years ago after having my daughter, so my mind is going all over the place. any advice would be so helpfull, i am also feeling sick and have no appetite and just generally ill and tired, thanks for reading this

The cystnwill cause breathlessness as it will press on the diaphragm, it can cause bladder problems as it will press on it and the same with the bowel. Sickness, tiredness and lack of appetite are also common symptoms.

What is uncommon is the leg problems you describe, however they can mean that the cyst is beginning to interfere with the blood supply, does not mean it is by any means but best get it checked out.

    Hi onieuk,

I really really think you should get yourself to the emergency department and let them check you over especially with the breathlessness, it's important you go right away as you shouldn't be breathless.  Please go now and let us know how you go on xxxxx

    Hi there onieuk,

I'm having a lot off the same problems right now, the bladder, bowel, breaththlessness, bloating, abdominal pain, sharp shoulder pains. I've been told all of these are directly related to my cyst, best thing for the bloating is a hot water bottle smile

As for the pain in your knee, it might be worth bringing that up with your consultant if you're worried smile

And I know it's easier said than done, but try not to stress because stressing will only make these problems and aches worse.

    take care of yourself smile

thanks for your replies, it helps to talk about it all, its a tough week for me as its the second anniversary of my youngest daughters passing this week, she was only 18 and passed in her sleep, she had not been ill and we are still waiting for an answer to why we lost her, it may sound silly but i feel as if i must go to her grave on thursday and if i go to the hospital they might keep me in, i keep telling myself i just need to cope untill friday, but truthfully i am struggling with the pain, the back ache and breathing problems, thank you all for taking the time to give me some much needed support

She would not want you to struggle and be in pain. No child wants that.
