Few questions about Gravitational/Venous eczema?

Hey!

Just found out this is what I have on both my legs. Had it for 6 weeks now. I have some questions.

Am I safe in touching it? Can I use my towels on my legs? Does it spread?

Does it last forever? Does it come and go?

The Docs have explained a lot to me but I'm hoping to get some more insight as I've heard different things. The nurse said it might never flare up this bad every again or if might do lots. No one knows and I'm only in my 20s so I'm really daunted.
