i have been there i promise when the pain is so bad i dreaded putting my feet to the floor , dereaded standing up or sitting down each time such a serge of pain, pain were i couldnt reach it right between my shoulder blades un able to lye down or sleep felt like i just wanted to die , i wondered why i even bothered trying.i joined a amerture verity group to get me out of the house and give me an interest, but it changed hands and they it from verity to musical thereta and pilled a load more pressure on me having to learn lyrics and lines.

i kept telling them i couldnt cope but they just wouldnt cut my lines

yet another girl in the group who has a more visule disability ask just to do the singing and not the lines and thats what they gave her.

i had to leave just couldnt carry on with it ,it made ill every week with out fail and even after i left i got worse because i hadbeen once again pushed out of something i worked really hard at ,because you cant see whats wrong with me

    dear Tina,

    Have you ever noticed the condition getting worse or improving in different places such as eg supermarkets where there is air conditioning? Also, have you ever been prescribedmedicines such as diazepam or other tranquillisers and if so, are you still taking them and for how long?

    Last question, if you don't mind answering, do you notice any worsening after eating certain foods?

    I am trying to gather facts about this condition.(26 years of bilateral heel pain, back pain and neck pain but standing up is definitely the worst)

    So far I have discovered that no sugar and bread in the diet is helping to some extent and you must avoid all vinegar products.

      UR on the right track.. There are many studies that certain foods cause swelling... Especially sugar and sugar foods.. See anti inflammatory diets on  webmd.com.

      i have noticed a big difference when avoiding sugars processed foods and a better life style... Exercising in many ways due to mobility limitations it all makes a huge difference..

      air conditiong is like a draft so it can be more painful i dont take any perscription drugs they only make other things worse, a do all alternative its pricey in the beginig going thru all the stuff to find what works,

      but fingers crossed iv found what works for me now.

      i have to avoid all foods that produce heat , like curries ,and your right pickled foods just kill, and its such a shame because i love mustard but it puts a road staright thru me, eggs cause constapation, tomatoes make me feel sick as do bannans

      , i do ocasionly have tomatoes soup

      but with cream to take out the acid sometimes i add gloves that helps aid digestion ,

      i am alright with sugar but its mainly in tea its brown and i use coconut sugar thats slow burning , fruit kills me because of the acid ,strawberrys pinapple are ok , baked beans, peas sweetcorn chicken, unless organic] fish, pulses, and nuts make me ill

      , for days. i cant touch alchol absolutly floors me

      i am ok on fried foods but not everyday i use olive oil or coconut oil

      and i eat lamb, pork,and beef and duck at the moment with out any problems weather this will change i dont know,

      i can eat spring cabbage,broccli, cauliflower ,carrotts and sewde, and cut green beans

      but salade stuff floors , me i do keep trying little bits because i love it

      but it tends to constapate me and give me terrible pain.

      but a know several people with this condition ,and there diets all differ i know one lady that can eat half apound of nuts over a day with no problem, and another lady that cant eat chicken because it gives her really bad dioreeh but can eat grapes and pulses

      i really think its an indvidual thing . like i love merrigunes all sugar have them on there own my stomach starts geting really windy and some times gets a bit upset ,

      but if i eat them with cream or full fat live yogurt

      no problem at all , the same as porridge made with just milk ,thru with in a couple of hours, add cream satys put with no probs .its all really trail and error and taking notice of your body when you learnt that your half way there .hope iv been of some help

    Thanks Tina, you've given me plenty to think about.

    Have you tried cutting out all yeasts and sugars?

      i did an exclusion diet 7 yrs ago as i was suffering terriable thrush and just kept going round in circles with treatments .cleared up the yeast grew back in a few months and up raised the thrush again .

       the diet was done under supervision .

      icouldnt eat any bread, sugar, potatoes, gravy etc .

      i lived on meat and anything vegtable that grew above the ground .for 3months , touch wood its not come back.

      iv checked out the best magnesium on other sites ,people say avoid

      citrate and oxide magnesium. tthe best tolorated is malate , or applied topicaly thru skin as a liquid
