fibro and new injuries

Hi everyone

I just wanted to ask if anyone has an answer to wether new injuries and pain are exaggerated by fibro.

I just can't seem to shake any pains off.

Absolutely knackered at the minute

Hi there. Unfortunately this can be the case. I have been on pain management course. We are taught to pace, even when I do this I can still suffer. I could understand if I went mad and did lots of stuff then suffered but, when I rest and still suffer it, hard.

I have been house bound since last Tuesday. I can't even drive or pop to the shops. I was taken to the doctors on Saturday and had most of medication upped to maximum. All I do now is sleep as, it's the only time the pain is manageable. At the moment I am also sleeping on the sofa as, I cannot get upstairs. This condition is really painful and stressful

It's hard to get your head around it, I was diagnosed in September but I have been unable to work for 18 months. I've gone from the bread winner to nothing almost over night.

my hands and feet are awful I knocked my hand a few days ago and it's really painful but no bruise.

I fell a few months ago and cracked a couple of ribs and dislocated my shoulder. This is just pounding me and then there's the cold.

It's true everything is worse , and even pacing yourself , you still feel it worse than before you had fibro, I had a fall a year ago and the bruise is still there yet,I think what we have to do is keep plodding on and take every day as it comes . Hope you feel better soon .

Hope you dig yourself out of it soon.

It's not nice being in pain ever but this is biting at my heels at the minute, just have to stay warm and hope it eases off soon

Yes I agree with everyone that it seems worse when you have Fibro...however, when I have had other issues it's almost like I don't have Fibro...very interesting..really concentrating on the issue at hand seems to put the Fibro on the back shelf for a little while..while concentrating on healing other issues...unreal isn't it..thought it was all in my head once..but I've had it long enough to know..hope things get better fir you reall soon..be blessed.:-) xx Australia

you have answered your own question , when your focused on something else the fibro is unnoticeable , or not so.

this is how brain training to recover from fibro works
