Hi terig, boy your not alone. Whoever said Fibro doesn't  progress is so wrong. I have had two left knee replacements. They can find nothing wrong, the pain has never gone away due to what I believe is the fibro. I also have neropathic nerve pain which the fibro makes so much worse. Nights are bad aren't  they. I walk with a cane due to overall pain. I have had fibro for 17 years. I don't know you, but your not alone. If they. could find a cure

    Hi Terig,

I too have Fibro and Chronic fatigue, and medications give side effects that increase symptoms.

Sorry to hear of your health problems, not easy to manage day to day.

But i read your post and wanted to reply.

If medications don't work what can we do.

Now i know it's maybe not for everyone, but MEDITATION instead of medication helps me.

A non religious local shared meditation group can give relaxation or try this book,

How meditation heals by Eric Harrison.

I find it useful, the whole book is about pain and health management.

If that's not for you, i sincerely wish you well and thank you for your post.

Just came across your post - Yes I am using a rollator now - a year ago I was mobile and driving - now I am using a rollator and it makes me very self conscious when I am out as I am only 66.  but at least I dont worry about falling over.  I have peripheral neuropathy, CFS, and pseudogout all of which give me pain in my legs, twitches, shooting pains and in January I was in hospital for a week with severe continuous hip pain - they could not find anything as to what was causing it and the pain meds gave me severe constipation and vomiting blood!! so helpful.  I also get pain in my back, shoulder blades, etc and chronic SOB - so join the old crocks like me!!! seriously I do hope you have some pain free days and all the best from me.
