Hi around 3 years ago I was diagnosed with 5 small fibroids ,gyno didn't do much as said were to small so just gave me tablets to help with pain after other painful problems near ovaries I had laparoscopic surgery last week for two inguinal hernias I also asked if he could take a look at my fibroids after op he said he saw the outside of a fibroid around size of a small Apple ,I've since started my period and it's very painful I'm so fed up with the pain as thought this op would be the end to my problems ,I'm due to see gyno end if July but I'm not sure wether to go see my doctor first see if he can get me a scan before as I'm pretty sure that's what consultant will do ,I know people are going through a lot worse than me but it's really getting me down has anyone been through similar who can help thanks x

may i ask how your hernias were spotted.
i'm wondering if you had any signs on the outside that you had hernias and was the pain related to the fibroids or hernias.
it seems you still have pain though your hernias were repaired.
the reason i ask is that i am still searching for a reason for my pelvic pain after three and half years of tests in different departments with all clear on everything.
its very frustrating.
how old are you?
25 years ago when i was 43 i had heavy periods and pain all the days of the month.
the gynno diagnosed fibroids and i got my hysterectomy appointment for 4 months later.
by then i was better so never bothered to have my op.
i wish now that i'd gone through with it.
at least it would narrow down the options for a diagnosis of my pain.
to be honest i've been prescribed 'Tryptizol.' which is a sedative cum painkiller, so i'm not as frantic as i was before.
this thursday i have an appointment with digestivo specialist to give me results of 2 tests i had end of feb.
to be fair i was told if it was anything sinister they would have let me know straight away.
hey ho.

you know the way i,ve been getting tossed from digestive depts to gynno and back, well yesterday i had my results for 2 tests i had 4 months ago with the digestivos.
barium enema and ct scan.
all clear.
the gynnos know i have fibroids but will not accept thats my pain source.
i recently had a polypectomy for a 2mm polyp in my uterus.
my problems are no different.
the srgeon told me my ovaries are in good shape.
for gods sake they must have humped my fibroids out of the way to see them as none of the scans could see my ovaries..
its not as though i need my lady gizzards at 67.
so this digestivo 'kid' put me on antispasmodics to help with the pain.
if i am being honest, the pain is noway as bad as it was at the onset three and half years ago.
i'm frustrated. on one hand i think i'll see if it gets better.
on the other hand i dont want a hysterectomy when i'm geriatric.
the 7 gynnos i've seen say the pain is IBS as my fibroids are dead and the 1 and only private gynno tells me i need a hysterectomy.
ok i'm in spain but whats the chances of getting same diagnosis anywhere else.
oh f... .t i'm going to the playa..!
